Smith Injured in Late Night Football Match
Senior officials have vowed rigorous scrutiny of Tuesday's football match.

In what appears to be an unfounded attacked during an intramural football match, or what the American's call "Soccer", Burnley native Adam Smith severely injured his ankle Tuesday night.

According to Smith, a large Wisconsin "Fat Bastard" fell on him, sending him to the hospital and putting him on crutches.

The BBC was able to obtain an exclusive photo of the incident occurring, as seen above. As you can see, the stress of the preeminent weight of the large Wisconsin native on Smith's ankle sent excruciating pain to the star athletes face.

It is just a sad day when a man sits on another man...
Paul Collier, London, UK

The Wisconsin native, which Smith referred to as Fat Bastard, has returned allegations towards the Burnley athlete, saying he had no right to get in the way.

An investigation has been launched and officials say it will be weeks before an outcome will be reached and if any charges will ensue.

Senator John Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts, said: "There are serious questions that must be answered involving Fat Bastard's soccer philosophy as demonstrated over his short time on the field."
